Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a tool of Chinese Medicine that is used to help support the body and heal without the use of pharmaceuticals. Very thin filiform needles (smaller than a hair) are used to target specific points on the body in order to relieve symptoms, reduce inflammation, and/or improve blood flow.

Dr. Jes earned her Doctorate of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health & Science. Prior to that, she completed her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine at East West College of Natural Medicine. She is a lover of the outdoors, travel, and good food!

During her studies, she worked under several specialists, including the practice of physical rehab, sports medicine acupuncture, and herbal therapies.

After graduating, she also completed an internship in China at 301 Military Hospital in Beijing, under Dr. Ling Guan. Further, she spent two years under the mentorship of Dr. Shan Liang in Sarasota, FL.

Dr. Jes is nationally board certified with NCCAOM and a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in the state of Tennessee. In her present practice, she has success treating conditions of all types utilizing a broad range of tools to craft a customized therapy for her patients.

She frequently employs Acupuncture, Cupping, and Herbal Medicine to reach the goals she and her patients set together.
